The nominations for the 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been announced. If you are more concerned with the Oscars, then you might be interested in knowing a couple of things: 1.) The actors guild is the largest voting body of the Academy and, 2.) The actors guild decides the five nominees in each of the acting categories for the Academy Awards. Knowing this, the SAG’s are always used as a strong point of reference when predicting who will take home an Oscar in February.
Another note: The SAG also nominates acting in television; however, for the sake of this film blog, I have only included the film categories.
