Sam Raimi is saying “I do” to a new wedding-themed horror movie for Sony’s Screen Gems.

Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, Raimi has signed on to produce an untitled horror thriller centered around a bride. Blair Butler has been brought on board to pen the script. Butler’s resume as a screenwriter include Hell Fest and the currently shelved Polaroid. She’s also in developing The Steps with Bad Robot, which is being referred to as a twist on the possession sub-genre.

Emile Gladstone, one of the producers of this weekend’s The Curse of La Llorona, is teaming with Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, the founders of Ghost House Pictures, to produce. The banner has produced such horror hits as Don’t Breathe, Drag Me to Hell and Evil Dead.

Exact plot details are still a little fuzzy at the moment, though the outlet is reporting that the film will be a supernatural thriller centering on a young woman who is invited to a lavish destination wedding, unaware of the true horrors that await her.
