Though the days of “If it’s Halloween, it must be Saw” are long gone, the billion-dollar slasher series continues to make money. Just last year, the Chris Rock lead reboot Spiral: From the Book of Saw grossed $40 million at the worldwide box office, inevitably paving the way for more entries.

Cut to Monday, and Bloody-Disgusting has just broken word that the TENTH Saw film is currently a-go over at Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. Producers have tapped series veteran Kevin Greutert to direct and slapped the project with a October 27, 2023, release date.

Greutert directed both Saw VI in 2009 and later Saw: The Final Chapter in 2010, along with the horror movies Jessabelle in 2014 and Jackals more recently in 2017. He also edited Saw I through V and Jigsaw.

More news as it comes.
