Viva Variety, Amazon has scored the international rights to Truth Seekers, a new horror-comedy series which will star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as paranormal investigators. The project marks the first series from the duo’s production Company, Stolen Picture.
The show will see Pegg as Dave and Frost as Gus, who journey together across the U.K. to uncover and record otherworldly activity. Their encounters grow more terrifying and deadly as the two stumble upon a conspiracy that threatens the human race.
Of course Pegg and Frost are long-time friend and colleagues. They appeared in the BBC cult hit series Spaced but are best known for their work with filmmaker Edgar Wright on Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.
Truth Seekers will comprise eight half-hour episodes. Production on the show is slated to begin in September. Pegg and Frost are co-writing with Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz, who executive produce alongside Ketley and Jim Field Smith, who will also direct.
