It seems the Italian Stallion may not be down for the count just yet.

Sitting down for an extensive interview with Variety, Sylvester Stallone hit on a number of interesting topics, including the future of the beloved Rocky franchise. When asked about the possibility of reprising his iconic role on the big screen, Sylvester simply replied:

“There’s a good chance that “Rocky” may ride again.”

As for what the story would entail, the action star elaborated:

“Rocky meets a young, angry person who got stuck in this country when he comes to see his sister. He takes him into his life, and unbelievable adventures begin, and they wind up south of the border. It’s very, very timely.”

Stallone obviously has some thoughts regarding the immigration into the United States. His upcoming film Rambo: Last Blood pits an aged John J. Rambo against the drug cartel at the Mexican border.

When asked if his intention was to touch on the immigration issues of today, Stallone said:

“Yes. Do you tell someone that you just met in the street who’s struggling and homeless to get out, or do you take him in? If you take him in, you’re in trouble.”

Obviously Stallone thinks that there’s a worthwhile story to be told in that trouble.

Rambo: Last Blood explodes into theaters Sep. 20, 2019.

What do you make of Sylvester Stallone making another Rocky movie? Is it something you would be interested in seeing? Or do you think he should just let the past be? Sound off in the comments below and let me know your thoughts!
