He’s back!

Today during the SDCC panel for Terminator: Dark Fate, series creator and executive producer James Cameron let it be known that Edward Furlong is indeed set to reprise his role as John Connor, mankind’s savior in the war against the machines, in the upcoming film.

Furlong is returning alongside Terminator 2: Judgement Day co-star Linda Hamilton, who once again plays Sarah Connor, John’s mother. The reunion makes sense. The two will undoubtedly serve as the connecting threads between Cameron’s 1991 action classic and Dark Fate, which retcons all other sequels.

Deadpool‘s Tim Miller directs Terminator: Dark Fate which opens wide Nov. 1, 2019 and continues the stories of both John and Sarah Connor.

What do you make of this news? Are you excited that Edward Furlong is returning to the world of Terminator? Does it get you any more pumped to see the film? Sound off in the comments below and let me know your thoughts!

  1. I’m happy for Furlong, but I don’t have nuch fate (!) in this new Terminator… I think that I’ll continue to rewatch the first two movies over and over again and I won’t bother with the infinite number of sequels!
