There is always a thick layer of secrecy surrounding Christopher Nolan’s upcoming projects. However, we’ve just learned a few new things about his latest film.

Warner Bros. announced Wednesday that production has already begun on Nolan’s new film, Tenet. The studio described the project as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.”

The announcement also includes a more robust cast breakdown. Tenet stars Blackkklansman‘s John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Elizabeth Debicki. Joining the impressive roster of on-screen talent are Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

As for the camera, Tenet is being shot via a combination of IMAX and 70mm film.

Behind the camera, Hoyte van Hoytema (Dunkirk, Interstellar) is serving as the director of photography, Nathan Crowley as the production designer, Jennifer Lane as the editor, Jeffrey Kurland as costumer designer, Andrew Jackson is on visual effects supervisor, and Oscar-winner Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther) is composing the score.

Tenet is also written by Nolan himself and will be the filmmaker’s 10th film. Look for it to hit theaters July 17, 2020.
