According to Variety, Russell Crowe is set to star in the psychological road rage thriller Unhinged. The film will tell the story of a mother who leans on her car horn at the wrong time and to the wrong guy (played by Crowe).
Unhinged is slated to begin production on July 15 in New Orleans. Derrick Borte is directing from a script by Carl Ellsworth (Disturbia, Red Eye). Warrior and Kingdom of Heaven producer Lisa Ellzey is producing.
The film will be the first project from Solstice Studios, which is slating the film for a wide theatrical release sometime in the third quarter of 2020.
Crowe of course won the Best Actor Oscar for Gladiator and was also nominated for his work in The Insider as well as A Beautiful Mind. The actor recently starred in the gay conversion drama Boy Erased and can be seen next in The True History of the Kelly Gang and Showtime’s limited series The Loudest Voice.
