British actor Letitia Wright broke out as Shuri in last year’s mega-blockbuster hit Black Panther. Her work in the film immediately landed her spots atop many casting directors’ lists. Now it seems the 25-year-old has chosen her first post-Marvel gig.
Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, Wright will star alongside the likes of Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and Kenneth Branagh in the upcoming Agatha Christie adaptation Death On The Nile. Branagh will return to the direct’s chair for the follow-up to last year’s Murder On The Orient Express as well as reprise his central role as the world renowned mustachioed detective Hercule Poirot.
Death On the Nile is slated to begin filming towards the end of September.
THR breaks down Letitia Wright’s role:
“Wright will play Rosalie Otterbourne, a lead suspect in the story, which follows Poirot as he attempts to unravel the murder of a young heiress while on vacation in Egypt.“
Wright can next be seen reprising her role as Shuri in Avengers: Endgame when it hits theaters April 26.
