Can lightning strike thrice for Grease?
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Paramount is revving up for a Grease prequel written by John August, who previously scripted the upcoming Aladdin remake as well as a number of Tim Burton films, including Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John starred in the classic 1978 musical. Summer Loving will reportedly detail the summer fling that Travolta’s Danny Zuko and Newton-John’s Sandy Olsson sing about during the song Summer Nights in the original film.
No casting or directing details are known at this time.
