Via The Wrap, the upcoming Terminator sequel has officially been titled Terminator: Dark Fate.

The sixth film in the franchise is being directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller and will serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day and will ignore all preceding entries.

Series originator James Cameron developed the film’s story and is on as a producer. David S. Goyer penned the screenplay based on Cameron’s idea.

Terminator veterans Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are both returning. Starring alongside the iconic duo will be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D‘s Diego Luna and Blade Runner 2049‘s McKenzie Davis.

Terminator: Dark Fate is slated for release on November 1, 2019 and will open against Sony’s Charlie’s Angels revamp.

What do you make of the new title for Terminator: Dark Fate? Can you dig it? Is ignoring all other films past the first two the right movie for the franchise? Sound off in the comments below and let me know!
