Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will follow up god monster movie with– wait for it– another monster movie. This according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan is co-producing the project through his Outlier Society production company along with New Regency, which recently produced the Oscar-winning blockbuster smash hit Bohemian Rhapsody.
Not much is currently know about the film other than it is based on an original idea from Vogt-Roberts and will be set in his hometown of Detroit. The filmmaker has a history of bringing repeat creative business to his hometown, even co-founding the improv group The Detroit Creativity Project to help foster young creative talent.
Producers are currently looking for a screenwriter to pen the script.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts was last know to be working on a feature film adaptation of the popular video game franchise Metal Gear Solid; however, news on that has fallen silent as of late. It seems the filmmaker has decided to put that on the back burner in order to pursue a more likely project.
