The highly-anticipated third Sherlock Holmes film with Robert Downey Jr. has been pushed back a year from December 25, 2020 to the same time frame of 2021.

Warner Bros. announced the release shift Monday (via The Hollywood Reporter). The threequel will now hit theaters on December 22nd, 2021. That is a decade after its the first sequel, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which went on to score $545.4 million at the worldwide box office.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are both expected to reprise their roles as the famous literary detective and Dr. Watson, respectively.

Hannibal and Narcos: Mexico writer Chris Brancato has been tapped to pen the screenplay. No word yet on in Guy Ritchie will return to direct after helming the first two films.

The original RDJ Sherlock Holmes was released December 25, 2009 on its way to making $524 million globally.
