Sylvester Stallone as John J. Rambo drew First Blood In 1982. Now, 37 years later, he will ride off into the sunset in Rambo: Last Blood.
According to Variety, the upcoming fifth film in the Rambo series is set for a September 20th release date.
This time out, John Rambo will cross into Mexico to take down a cartel that has kidnapped a friend’s daughter.
Adrian Goldberg is directing from a screenplay written by Stallone and Matthew Cirulnick. The film also stars Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta and Yvette Monreal.
The four previous films in the franchise have grossed a total of $728 million worldwide.
Rambo: Last Blood will open against Focus Features’ adaptation of Downton Abbey.
