This year’s winners for the Visual Effects Society Awards were recently recognized and Avengers: Infinity War came out on top with four wins, including photoreal feature. Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse also scored four awards, including animated feature. The VES chooses which five films get nominated for the Academy Awards in Best Visual Effects. So if you are into the Oscars, you might want to take note here. It is also worth mentioning that the VES choose nominations for film, video games, etc. For the sake of my movie blog, I have included only the film categories (of which there are plenty).
