The 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, better known as the SAG’s, were held last night and I’m happy to report that a diverse selection of wonderful films and performances were recognized. Now, there were a couple of curve balls thrown, but nothing egregious, I think. Again, SAG did honor performances in television, but for the purpose of this blog, I am focusing solely on the categories related to film performances.

And the Actors went to…

Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture

Black Panther

Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role

Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody

Outstanding Performance By Female Actor In A Leading Role

Glenn Close, The Wife

Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role

Mahershala Ali, Green Book

Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role

Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place

What do you think about this year’s SAG Awards winners? Any recipients shock you? Hit me up in the comments below, I want to hear your thoughts!
