Tarantino-Trio

Quentin Tarantino’s proclaimed ninth film will be Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt have signed on to star. The director has previously worked with both talents: DiCaprio in DjangoUnchained and Pitt in IngloriousBastards.

In addition to the casting news, Tarantino himself also gave somewhat of a synopsis. Via Sony, the filmmaker described his forthcoming project as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”

It’s also worth mentioning that, though we haven’t heard an official response, Deadline is still reporting that Tarantino has asked none other than I, Tonya and SuicideSquad star Margot Robbie to take on the role of Tate, who was infamously murdered in 1969 by members of the unhinged Charles Manson family.

This isn’t the first time that Tarantino’s latest has made headlines. Late last year the director forced studio execs through a rigorous bidding process in order to obtain the rights to the upcoming flick. This after Tarantino was forced to dump his long-time collaborators in the Weinstein Company following its reputable (and now financial) collapse.

What do you think about this news? Does this sound like a must-see? Or are you not a fan of Quentin Tarantino? I want to hear from me, so don’t be shy about hitting me up in the comments below!
